GBOB Lebanon ends in ruins:
After a full month of very heated heats....intensive preparations, and bands working harder than they ever did, the GBOB Lebanon National Final had finally arrived.
September 15, 2007, marked a new step in Lebanon's music scene where Rockring got licensed & organized GBOB for the first time, driving bands & organizers to thrive the furthest they can, and the outcome?
One of the largest events in one of the most prestigious places, with 4 of the best Lebanese bands reaching the finals!
Coming back from the days of Phoenicia, Lebanese bands battled in the Roman Amphitheatre of Zouk Mikael where gladiators once stood, and from there, one band was bound to London to show the world that Lebanon will never be silenced and the Lebanese will always have a voice and the will of survival. Bomb us daily, plot against us, but we are here and here to stay.
The finalists were: Blaakyum, BLooD InK, Stab, and Winter's Embrace....all bands having very tight scores, with the winner band, Blaakyum, barely winning by a difference of 0.007 points (out of 5)!
From Lebanon, we present the band Blaakyum carrying the Lebanese flag to London against 32 countries.

Blaakyum's statement:
Hail to all,
There've been days better and others worse. But The Battle of Lebanon was one of the most challenging and exciting experiences we ever had.
I must say it was no easy battle. And I think it all speaks for itself. Blaakyum would like to thank:
The Jury for their time and effort,
the bands that participated and believed in this event and didn't just sit back without bothering to push it further.
We thank Blood Ink for such a heated competition; it was hell of a tight situation… And big thumbs up for the other bands.
We would like to thank the Organisers and especially Roy Naufal, as it is our firm belief that Roy didn't have a fair chance to focus on his band because of the need to make this event a successful one, and we recognise that this had affected on his band's performance through-out the event.
Nonetheless, we recognise the fully unbiased position he took and his neutrality when it came to taking decisions which has proven him to be a man of word.
We would like to thank the fans, we were hell surprised to see so many while we haven't been around for so long, that means a lot and we thank you all.
Blaakyum conquered Lebanon… and as our fellow band Oath to Vanquish say: London get ready to be VANQUISHED.
And the Battle rages on… for we hear the Battle Roar.
